Whose turn is it?

Tournée keeps track of who paid, how much and for whom. For coffee, lunch and dinners. So you always know who treats next time.

Free. You pay your own way, the app only keeps track.

The app, in Dutch, on the Today screen: Noor is treating. After that: you, Wout, Jules and Elise.

How does it work?

  1. Add some names

Start a group or a dinner and type the first names of who’s joining. The others don’t need the app.

  2. Log a round

After coffee or lunch, tap Log a round and tick who was there. An amount is welcome, not required.

  3. Santé!

Whoever treated moves to the back. Next time you see straight away whose turn it is.

  4. A bill? Scan the receipt

In the iPhone and Android apps, your phone reads the receipt itself. Everyone ticks what they had, or you split it. In the web app you type the lines in.

Noor treated for lunch. Save it and the queue moves on.
The Depo Noord receipt, line by line, then everyone’s share.

Groups and dinners

When you start, you pick what you’re keeping track of. That decides how the app keeps track.

  • The lunch club, the coffee run

    Coffee or lunch

Taking turns. Whoever pays moves to the back. An amount is welcome, not required.

  • The monthly dinner

    Regular dinners

Eating out together, a different amount every time. Whoever has given least so far is up next.

  • A birthday, one night out

    One dinner

One person pays the bill up front and the app works out everyone’s share. Then you tick off who’s given their share.

  • Everyone brings something

    Cooked together

Everyone bought something for one dinner. Scan your receipt for the total or type the amount, and you see who still chips in.

What the app doesn’t do

  • Paying is up to you

No money goes through the app. You pay the way you always do, with your banking app or cash.

  • You start without an account

No email, no password. New phone? Your four-word restore code brings your groups along.

  • The others don’t need the app

You send them a link. They see their own share there, without installing anything.

  • The receipt stays on your phone

Your phone reads the receipt itself. The photo goes nowhere.

Common questions

What does it cost?

Nothing. Tournée is free, with no ads.

Do the others need the app?

No. You send them a link and they tick their own part there. Anyone who has the app joins with the code or the group link.

How does the app know whose turn it is?

You choose per group: taking turns, so the queue moves on after every round. Or by balance, so whoever gave the least is next.

Can I scan a receipt?

In the app, yes, also for the total of your shopping when you cooked together. It reads the receipt on your device and the photo goes nowhere. On the website you fill it in yourself.

Something isn’t right. Now what?

Tap the round and choose Not right? Nothing is deleted; a flag stays on it until it’s sorted.

I have a new phone.

Open You › Link a device on your old phone, or use your four-word restore code.

When are the apps coming?

The iPhone and Android apps are on their way to the App Store and Google Play. Until then, use the web app in your browser.
